From Harbour to Harbour2
I had the honor of being part of the photography and videography team documenting the unforgettable Melbourne concert of Lian Band in collaboration with William Barton, one of Australia’s most celebrated Indigenous musicians. The experience was vibrant, high-energy, and rich with cultural depth, a unique fusion of Persian and Indigenous Australian musical traditions.
From backstage preparation to the peak moments of crowd engagement, our team captured the full emotional range of the event. A diverse set of equipment was used to ensure full visual coverage across all angles and environments, including:
Sony A7 IV with a 15–65mm lens for wide crowd shots, the Sony Alpha series for handheld flexibility, and the Canon EOS R5 with a 70–200mm lens to capture detailed close-ups of the stage.
The event, which was also covered by SBS Persian, required fast post-production turnaround. I had the privilege of editing the official highlight video promptly to ensure it was ready for distribution through CNN coverage and international platforms. In addition to the broadcast version, I produced two more edits: a short-form cut optimized for social media, and a longer cinematic version capturing the full scope of the performance and atmosphere.
This project stands out as a celebration of cross-cultural collaboration and musical storytelling, and I’m grateful to have played a role in preserving its spirit through the lens.
